Boxycharm Swag 01.15

I received this month's Boxycharm box over the weekend. Although I haven't had the opportunity to use all of the products extensively, I'm pretty pleased with what came in my box this month.

   Here's what I got...

As per usual with Boxycharm, all the items were full sized. I received two lip products from the brand Beauty For Real; a lip cream in the shade "Always There" and The Perfect Lip Pencil. I've never actually heard of this brand before, and from what I've used so far I really lip both products. I really love the color and consistency of The Perfect Lip Pencil. It's a darker, brownish-pink nude shade, which I feel is great for my lip color and skin tone.

So fancy, with my light-up lip gloss.

The lip cream has a mirror on the tube and led lights that you can turn on/off by clicking a button on the wand. Like most lip glosses/creams, it has a doe-foot applicator. The color is a really pretty, deeper shade of pink, almost bordering on raspberry. I normally hate lip glosses, but I actually like the formula of this, probably because it's a cream, not a gloss and it's incredibly opaque, and thick versus runny. The consistency reminds me a lot of the NYX Butter Glosses.

From top to bottom: Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum, Mirabella Face Prime, Beauty For Real The Perfect Pencil, Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in "Always There"
I also received the Mirabella Face Prime. I have not used this yet so I'm not sure how it will work out for me. It is a clear, thick gel with Vitamin E infused in to the formula. I was reading through the ingredients and could see that this is definitely a silicone-based primer, which usually breaks me out with extended wear. I'm a little nervous to use it, because my skin is starting to finally calm down and I'm not getting as many deep, cystic pimples. I may wait a while before trying this out. We shall see.

I was really pleased to get a sheet of Pur-lisse Flash Tattoos, they are really pretty. They're just like the temporary tattoos we all loved as kids, only "fancy" because they are gold and silver. I'm excited to try them out for the next fun event I go to. I want to look like Cleopatra.

Lastly, I received the Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum [insert: angelic choir]! I cannot believe that this full sized product was included, it retails for $47.

$47...and the box was only $21.
   Enough said, right.

I'm excited and hesitant to try it; I've never used bronzing or self-tanning products. I'm going to do a little more research on how to properly use it and get the best results from it before actually trying it on my face. Who knows, maybe by using this serum and the flash tattoos, I will in fact look like bronzed and beautiful Cleopatra. I can dream, right?

That's all I received in this month's boxycharm. I give it a 3:5 for hits, only because I'm not sure if I'll use/like two of the products. December's box raised the bar of expectation for me. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what February's box will include, I'm sure it will be love/Valentine day related. Haha.

What do you think? Would you subscribe to Boxycharm after seeing this month's box or are you unimpressed? I'd love to hear your thoughts or any subscriptions you've been enjoying. Thanks for your support!
Until next time!
Love, Little Mouse
